What is a Domain Name and Why Register One?

A domain name, like rtfverterra.com is a web address. It is linked to a particular point on the internet called IP address. Typing a domain name into the browser will display the web page associated with that domain.

In my previous post, I talked about the cost of running a small website. The cost calculated in that post is for small e-commerce site that accepts online payments and for website owners who don't have any technical knowledge in building a website. This post will focus about the cost of running a blog. Then you may ask, "What is a blog? Isn't that a blog is a website?".
